Recently I watched a video on called Yogi Bear Parody: “Booboo Kills Yogi” ending” and needless to say I was extremely impressed.  The parody came out last week and combines the new “Yogi Bear ” movie, which will be released later this week, with the critically acclaimed movie The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.

The parody was made by the multi talented Edmund Earle (watch his parody below) who I contacted and asked him a few questions.

Q: “Who do you currently work for?”

A:  “I am the Director of Animation at Edgeworx Studios Inc. -a NY based post production company.”

Q: “Beside yourself, who else was involved in the project?”

A: “I made the Yogi Bear video from scratch myself, with my friend Matthew Borgatti doing the voices.”

Q: “How did you come up with the idea for the parody?”

A: “It came to me after watching the first trailer (in september). I’d seen the Assassination of Jesse James and thought it would be a great, ironic mashup. Yogi is as silly and goofy a film as possible, and Jesse James incredibly serious and masterful, so they contrast each other very well.”

Q: “What programs did you use to make it.”

A: “The video was made with 3D Studio Max, After Effects, and Photoshop.”

Q: “What projects would you like to work on in the future?”

A: “At some point in the next couple years I plan a short feature of original ideas and work. We’ll see!”

On a personal note, I would like to thank Mr. Earle for the interview and I wish him much success.
